No, I'm not in love.

Let me tell you a story about me, the trash and a big ass creature. A few weeks ago, I was throwing the trash out. It was mga 1 ish in the morning(puyatera ako to the max), when suddenly I saw a creature in the shadows, the moonlight--more like the faint light from the fluorescent bulb outside the house--reflected on its face. I got scared. It was....breathing. And it was....croaking. :|:|:|

OMG. I recognize the silhouette of the creature from my Science books and the Muppet Shows I watch as a kid--IT WAS A FROG! It was this huge:



And it looked at me like this:




okay, I am exaggerating. But it was as huge as the kittens here. And the kitty cats here are a bit larger than normal kitty cats. God. I got scared but at the same time oddly interested so I tried to take a step closer to look at it but it hopped away heavily like an obese amphibian.

The fact that it ACTUALLY moved scared me so I immediately closed the door shut, breathed rapidly and had to send a message to my best friend about it on Facebook.

I told my family about it and they were like "meh." It was only weeks before this happened that I called them down because there was a "big" frog and they just saw it was something a bit larger than small bar of soap. But I told them that it's different this time. The frog was HUGE and I swore I heard a loud thump when it hopped away.

My brother told me that big frogs are called toads. A duh. I knew that but I know what toads look like. The big ass frog didn't look like a toad. It looked like an abnormally large frog. It was gargantuan, enormous, humongous!

Okay let's just say it was a toad but I will still say frog nonetheless

My dad jokingly asked me why didn't I kiss the animal since it might be my frog prince. I bluntly told him the frog went away so how could I kiss him? (I don't care if this frog will give Prince Harry a run for his crown when I kiss it, ayoko magkaroon ng tanginang kulugo. *jitters*). Plus, I thought Frog Prince was a FROG, not a nasty toad.

But it was just so cool. I HAD to see it again. So I went out with a flashlight and looked for the silly frog. It would be easier if the front of our house was clear and all but it wasn't. There were roofs and ply wood outside since one of my neighbors(who lives a door away, by the way)was doing a "little" renovation to their house and the amount of the stuff they needed overflowed to my house's area. So you could just imagine me looking under the roofing stuff and ply wood and even a toilet just to find that oh-so-cool creature.

But alas, NONE.

I thought I would see it again, but maybe that first encounter with BAF(Big Ass Frog)will remain my last for now. Every time I throw out the trash, I wonder if I'll get to see BAF tonight. Oh well.

Not really related but funny story: I told my mom about the frog(she wasn't awake that night when I told the other family members about the frog)and she wasn't as shocked as them. She said that back in her province, she and her cousins saw BAFs all the time. There was a time they attempted to kill a BAF(ay. Galit ang PETA)by dropping a BAR(Big Ass Rock)on it but the BAR just bounced of the BAF. Wow. BAFs that strong pala. XDD

Hamster Cruelty

My sister is accusing me of animal cruelty. Kanina I just poured a bit of water on one of her smelly hamsters and suddenly she got so hysterical that she kicked me in the shins few times. WTF?!?!

I am so sorry, but di naman nagreklamo hamster mong mabaho eh. :P

She says she will use this against me. FOR WHAT? But sabi nya pang-blackmail lang if I become some famous fixture. Ewan ko sa kanya. I mean, I may hate her hamsters but I do like playing around with them and I only do it in ways that I think are acceptable(I've seen my sister do much worse to them but she's not super cruel ha!) It's just hypocritical of her to say that I am so cruel to animals just because I accidentally drop her hamsters or I like shaking them(but not too hard, ha. They're not built to be maracas) when she also does accidentally drop her pets or even lets them go inside pillow cases.

There was this time though that I purposely pushed her hamster because I thought he liked the thrill of falling off the table a la Tom Cruise, but I ended up injuring him on the second time. Hamsters don't talk in human-understandable languages, but his face just said it all with the pain I did to him. One of his legs got broken and for a few weeks he walked with a weird but sorta cute limp.

If ever my sister reads this, may she realize that I don't hate animals. I really don't. I just never grew up with having a pet and actually, my sister did, too, before getting those four rodents last year. Truth be told, I just don't know what to do if ever my dream of having a Persian Cat comes true now or if I get gifted a Guinea Pig for Christmas. But I know I'll be a good owner. They're MY pets, right?

At besides, animal cruelty is serious. She may think I "abuse" them(Da hell, she never even wants me to hold them! Char), but God, kung alam nya that I really have a soft spot for them and I really, really don't have the heart to torture them.

Back in 2007, a teenage boy put a female hamster in a 30 minute ordeal by putting her in a freezer, a tumble dryer and a washing machine. To think guest sya sa house na yan to abuse the owner's pet. Naku. Namatay yung hamster. It was reckless and insensitive of him to do that.

Recently, a Brooklyn teenager was busted for murdering her little bro's hamster. She could face up to two years of imprisonment if convicted.

OH ANO, ANGELA? GAGAWIN KO BA LAHAT YAN? EVEN IF YOU HATE ME, YOU KNOW I WON'T DO THAT.

Also, I admit, hamsters can be cute. :P



But they eat too much.



Still, they can be so bad ass.
