I wrote this on November 29 last year but I ONLY GOT TO PUBLISH THIS ON MY BLOG NOW.
How DID they handle it? Hmmmmmmmmm........
I read about The Madrigal Murders just now in Chuvaness.com. Nothing like The Qurino Hostage Situation were the tourists(who were Chinese Nationals) where held hostage then a number were killed. This one happened in China. Tiananmnen Square to be exact; the heart of Beijing. And two Filipino tourists were killed. Emmanuel Madrigal and his family--his wife and three daughters--had a vacation there in China five years ago. Bong(As what people would call Emmanuel)--who was an executive for Shell--was first to go off the Tourist bus he and his family rode. His wife and daughter, Regina Mia, followed after. According daw to reports, some dude appeared out of nowhere carrying a sword. He stabbed through Bong, killing him instantly. He then attacked Bong's wife (Don't believe other reports that she died. She's still alive, okey) and he also killed Regina Mia. The two other daughters, on the other hand, managed to escape. The sicko Chinese dude was believed by the Filipino relatives of the victims that he thought the victims were Japanese tourists. This happened kasi after an anti-Japanese rioting ek ek that happened in Major Cities of the China(Beijing was probably one of them).
Of course, like us during the Quirino incident, China failed to protect its tourists. It definitely hurts, too, but it also hurts knowing what actually happened after the shocking incident in Tiananmnen Square. Unlike here where President P-Noy and millions of people are saying sorry and expressing grief for what happened in Quirino Grandstand, no Chinese officials ever acknowledged the Tiananmen Square Killings. AT ALL. FOR FIVE YEARS. And they never even apologized to the family's victims, let alone to this country for failing to protect the Filipino Tourists. Here, ordinary Filipinos get to say what we think about the Quirino Killings. Doon naman sa China, the Governement quickly blocked the internet sites and censor comments of Chinese people talking about the killings in Tiananmen square. Ano kaya yung mga say nila? Hmmmmmmm.......
You know what I think? I think China's a dirty scum. They tried to hide this and cover this from the world, because they know this will affect their tourism.Well, kasi for centuries, China didn't really welcome ''barbarians''(foreigners) and when they gave them the chance to modernize and offered help, China declined. Tuloy, naghahabol na sila some zillions of years later. Of course, they served some justice to the killer by sentencing him to death. But seriously, where's the damn apology from your frickin official? I know Violent crimes against foreigners in China rarely happen, but do they really need to act as if they can prevent it when they really can't in some situtations? Why make our country look as dangerous as War-stricken countries like Iraq and Pakistan after the Quirino incident? Hypocrites. Your country eats babies and crushes cardboard to make burger patties. I do not hate your country(you guys have a really wonderful history) but don't get mad at us here in the PI. As I said in my earlier post, it can happen ANYWHERE and EVERYWHERE and it happened in your country.
