The Effing Truth About the FB Shutdown. :P
Let me start. Rumor has it that Mark Zuckerberg thinks that "Facebook has gone out of control" and that he "wants his old life back." After his blabbering about this and that(I do not care), one thing stood out and this didn't come from his mouth: Avrat Humarthi, Vice President of Technical Affairs at Facebook(the guy we--supposedly--should also believe) said that “After March 15th the whole website shuts down.”
I hear some "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"'s out there. All 500 Million of them. :)
Enough of that. Want to know the REAL DEAL? IT IS ALL FALSE! In my opinion, myflog.me(that little Facebook copycat) has something to do with it. Director of Corporate Communications for Facebook Larry Yu said that the rumor about FB shutting down is totally bogus.
And come to think of it, why will anyone shut down a company estimated to be worth $50 Billion dollars(as in REAL dollars, not play money)? That same company who made Mark Zuckerberg the youngest billionaire evah? That same company that inspired the movie ''The Social Network'' which earned a total of $199.8 million dollars worldwide and is currently bagging all the major award in the Golden Globes and soon, the Oscars? I SAY NOT!

My First Time (SSC HS Dance: Illusion 11/6/10)
My First Time...TO ATTEND A PARTY. :|:|:| Ewan ko ba. Not a Children's party, though. A person who used to attend them a lot could only loathe them so much. If you know me, you''ll know the one word that seems to escape a lot on my mouth is "BAWAL"; Bawal this, bawal that(I wish my parents would say that word to me when I discovered CANDY, though. Now, I have two empty estates on my mouth that once housed two cavity-filled molars. Chewing was never the same again...).So for someone who is never allowed to attend parties(and date...and drink...and bah blah blah), suddenly getting the green light from me Dad was shocking and came at the worst time EVER(Puede ba yun? A day before the party, your Dad finally allows you to go. Naku, ano kaya susuotin ko noon?).
I decided not to tell any of my friends that I'm coming. All for these reasons:
1.I'm a high profile celebrity B-)
2....and I plan to go incognito B-|
3.I'm lying in the first two
4.Real reason na to: I didn't want people to expect so much on how I'll look like and what I'll use because of what I used to be before(sorry, truth to)
But I had to get tickets, noh. So I asked my best friend 3 days short of the party(even if my Dad was still thinking of whether I should go or not) but she gave her ticket to her cousin(bummer :P). She told me her friend Leanza would give her extra ticket na lang but obviously that didn't push through later on. So, around two people know. My close pal asked me out of curiosity if I would come but I could not lie naman diba? Total of people who knew: 5 (more or less).
BUT THE UNEXPECTED(BUT KINDA EXPECTED) HAPPENED: IT RAINED! IT STORMED! ARGGHH!!! Although I was more worried about getting flooded over here again than going to a party, I, well, was still worried about going to the party. It's getting canceled obviously. I remember my spirits were as down and dark as our house(na-brownout kasi).
But after two weeks and more angry weather to match the angry Bosconians(Because the guys from Don Bosco Makati were the most affected when Illusion got canceled. Even more than the Kulasas), NANDITO NA!!!! :D But it came with all sorts of dilemmas: my bestie didn't come(I almost didn't want to come because of that but I quickly reserved a ticket after she told me that), my stupid falsies were a dope(not worth the price. or maybe it's just the glue?), A run appeared on my tights(KAINIZZZZ, BUT DI RAW HALATA), I was running late and oh, it was literally pouring in my place(STORM NA NAMAN?! :|).
But the funny thing was, While I expected that once I get to SSC I'll be greeted with a blackboard saying "ILLUSION CANCELED" in Gate 6, it actually didn't rain in Manila. Kakatuwa naman yan. Tawa ako nang tawa sa taxi. XDDDD. But pinasensya ako ng driver and my brood. They thought na auti ako or something.
When I arrived, I saw Everyone was nicely dressed. My aesthetic in fashion is it's always better to under-dress than to overdress, but I never felt so plain and blah before. :P Skyscraper heels to match higher hemlines. Makeup so adventurous it gives my brown eyeliner and bare cheeks to shame. But I never was that kind of person, really. I mean, I CAN wear those things naman, but my Dad nearly didn't let me go because I was wearing a dress. A DRESS! IN A CO-ED PARTY! And makeup will always look good natural. Kawawa nga this one girl; her turquoise liner was bleeding from her lower rims and there's this other girl with matrona makeup. Kadiri. To think the latter is two years younger than me....
I spent the first half hour--which later ended up as something I'll do most of the time--of the party walking around, seeing if I can find my good friends. I walked around, breaking my Mom's party rule of never to look lost in a party(I will look ewan daw. Mukha rin ako tuloy teacher. :P May nagsabi pa sa akin. YOU GUYS MADE MY NIGHT. FU _|_).
Like in everyday life, Peeps say the darndest things too in parties. Some people found my English hard to comprehend(dude, I CAN SPEAK FILIPINO! But your expressions are priceless. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA). Others thought I got shorter('Cause you all got taller. duh). Some said I still sound the same(I have a sound? Anu kaya yun?). Others said I looked old(that's an insult. Mukha ba akong luma?).A lot found me pretty (Wuut???? Iba yun ah).
Those are some stuff people told me but I thought more about dancing. Eating was more essential(tummy hungry). I give up on what to choose between the two. I buy my Scramble and bring it to the dance floor. Bad Idea. My old seatmate spilled some of mine in my cotton cardigan when we were on the dance floor. I started thinking how much drinking wine was better than this(and I hate wine. :P) and how I wish my sister and brother was here(and I hate them :P).
The best thing back there sa Illusion is getting introduced to new people. My close friend's cousins and brother came along and they were nice even if I hate guys(I actually find it funny that I was shouting in her cousin's ear and he couldn't hear. XDDDD I'm not used to that). My other friends introduced me to their classmates. I never met the guy of my dreams: this little kid in a tie who chose to ignore me as my kasama laughed at my attempts to speak to him. One of my friend's dates(forgot his name and I'm very very sorry for that) is a "gentleman" she described. Halata sa ginagawa nya, man. Was he holding your jacket? Hmmmm.....gentlemanly nga.
These are some of the many things that happened. I never have any expectations for parties(though I expected that I won't see Jolibee dancing), but it was an okay night. I'd rather be there in the party than oh, I don't know; watching a rerun of Gossip Girl at home and doing chores I should've been doing? I hope this won't be the last party the HS SC does. I think its success complements the failure of what happened in Gate 6 after the party. :P(how the guards handled the madness after the party--FAIL. I mean there was this guard nga who still thinks I study in SSC and she wouldn't even let me out of the gate kahit nandun na ang sundo ko. Bummer) Sorry, just being brutal

ANOTHER MAJOR MAJOR TRAGEDY. THIS TIME, IT HAPPENED IN CHINA
How DID they handle it? Hmmmmmmmmm........
I read about The Madrigal Murders just now in Chuvaness.com. Nothing like The Qurino Hostage Situation were the tourists(who were Chinese Nationals) where held hostage then a number were killed. This one happened in China. Tiananmnen Square to be exact; the heart of Beijing. And two Filipino tourists were killed. Emmanuel Madrigal and his family--his wife and three daughters--had a vacation there in China five years ago. Bong(As what people would call Emmanuel)--who was an executive for Shell--was first to go off the Tourist bus he and his family rode. His wife and daughter, Regina Mia, followed after. According daw to reports, some dude appeared out of nowhere carrying a sword. He stabbed through Bong, killing him instantly. He then attacked Bong's wife (Don't believe other reports that she died. She's still alive, okey) and he also killed Regina Mia. The two other daughters, on the other hand, managed to escape. The sicko Chinese dude was believed by the Filipino relatives of the victims that he thought the victims were Japanese tourists. This happened kasi after an anti-Japanese rioting ek ek that happened in Major Cities of the China(Beijing was probably one of them).
Of course, like us during the Quirino incident, China failed to protect its tourists. It definitely hurts, too, but it also hurts knowing what actually happened after the shocking incident in Tiananmnen Square. Unlike here where President P-Noy and millions of people are saying sorry and expressing grief for what happened in Quirino Grandstand, no Chinese officials ever acknowledged the Tiananmen Square Killings. AT ALL. FOR FIVE YEARS. And they never even apologized to the family's victims, let alone to this country for failing to protect the Filipino Tourists. Here, ordinary Filipinos get to say what we think about the Quirino Killings. Doon naman sa China, the Governement quickly blocked the internet sites and censor comments of Chinese people talking about the killings in Tiananmen square. Ano kaya yung mga say nila? Hmmmmmmm.......
You know what I think? I think China's a dirty scum. They tried to hide this and cover this from the world, because they know this will affect their tourism.Well, kasi for centuries, China didn't really welcome ''barbarians''(foreigners) and when they gave them the chance to modernize and offered help, China declined. Tuloy, naghahabol na sila some zillions of years later. Of course, they served some justice to the killer by sentencing him to death. But seriously, where's the damn apology from your frickin official? I know Violent crimes against foreigners in China rarely happen, but do they really need to act as if they can prevent it when they really can't in some situtations? Why make our country look as dangerous as War-stricken countries like Iraq and Pakistan after the Quirino incident? Hypocrites. Your country eats babies and crushes cardboard to make burger patties. I do not hate your country(you guys have a really wonderful history) but don't get mad at us here in the PI. As I said in my earlier post, it can happen ANYWHERE and EVERYWHERE and it happened in your country.

2010 Summary: A Year in Review. MUST READ
ANYWAY, BACK TO THE POINT...So, it's 2010 and it's ending. It makes me feel so old to think I got to experience 2010 and the years that came before it(2009, 2008, 2007...). Imagine: 2010 is just so over-hyped. 2004 pa lang, 2010 na iniisip diba? The elections kasi was one of the reasons. The elections here remind me of the Olympics; because you wait for such a long time for it to happen and when it does, you immediately look forward to the next. I remember nga very well the 2004 Elections. All they kept talking about was 2010. Maybe they just got sick of Gloria and looked forward to the next elections. Probably the biggest thing that happened this year was when Noynoy Aquino was elected President much to my disappointment. AM I THE ONLY PERSON WHO DOESN'T LIKE NOYNOY??!?! :-? Yellow doesn't even look good on him. Liz Uy is waaay outta his league and I do recall that when Ninoy Aquino died at the age of 50(Noynoy's age now), hindi sya kumakalbo like Noynoy so bakit kaya ganun? Di ba kayo nagtataka? o_O
So, 2010 went by so fast and I couldn't stress that enough yet so much happened. Let me summarize some of the good and bad that happened. 20 EACH in random order:
The Good...
1.Manny Paquiao wins his fight for the umpth time. THAT PER SE IS A BIG STATEMENT. God, just look at what Antonio Margarito looked like. :/
2.THE BEST CONCERTS HAPPENED THIS YEAR! Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, Paramore and John Mayer? Oh yeah, they went here this 2010 and I DIDN'T GET TO ANY OF THEIR CONCERTS. Harhar
3.Mark Zuckenberg is Time magazine's PERSON OF THE YEAR. BOOYAH. Too bad he wasn't the youngest. (NOTE: THE YOUNGEST MAN OF THE YEAR--WHAT TIME FORMERLY CALLS PERSON OF THE YEAR--WAS THEIR VERY FIRST ONE: CHARLES LINDBERGH BACK IN 1927! :D)
4.THE FIRST EVER YOUTH OLYMPICS HELD IN SINGAPORE!!!!!!!! 'NUFF SAID!!!!!! :D :D :D The lighting of the torch was AWESOME. But the Philippines was a disappointment especially in the swimming category :P. But Team Philippines definitely fought hard in the Basketball category
5. Two words: Winter Olympics :bd. Too bad I missed it. Though tragedy happened, I hear this year's WO was one that I shouldn't have missed.
6.A woman finally won in the Best Director category in the Oscars! Haaaay, at least James Cameron didn't seem blue that he lost. :)) Get it? No? Losers. L-)
7.MAJOR MAJOR. Come on, you know that. :D Venus Raj was placed 4th in the Miss Universe Contest and with that being said I will also mention just how hot winner Miss Mexico Jimena Navarrete was. ;-D. And you guys remember the video na nasunod dyan. XDD. I know Veejay Floresca as a designer but these days, most people know him as one of the four dudes who screamed in their pajamas when Venus Raj got in the Top 15 in a little video they posted on Youtube.
8. SMP (Samahan ng Malalamig ng Pasko). It annoys the hell out of me when I hear people say they're members of this so-called-club. But Nestea seems to have pretty good marketing because of this crap and now SMP is part of the pop culture language. :P
9.Kanye West's come back!!! WAAAAAAAHH!!!! He was amazing in the Video Music Awards. Taylor Swift can suck it. :P No, wag na lang. It's her year, too. I have to admit, some of her songs are good and her new album is pretty good and the charts agree. :) OH GOD. DID I JUST SAY THAT? XDD But she just sucked when she sang some Fleetwood Mac in the Grammy's. Buti Rhiannon lang yan eh kung Sentimental Lady kinanta nya I swear....>:|
10. Prince William and Kate Middleton got engaged! Such a beautiful couple. :''''> Ahihihihi; PRINCESS KATE!!!!
11. THE WORLD CUP!!!!! \m/ The stars of this year's World Cup: Spain, Vuvuzelas and Paul the Octopus. Paul, you will be forever missed. Rest your squishy soul in peace. :)
12. While the music in the 00's will be missed, 2010 didn't disappoint! Lots of new talents emerged, from Nicki Minaj to Bruno Mars. God, and I think the year belonged to Lady Gaga! :D Especially when she hit the 1 billion mark on Youtube for Bad Romance.
13. "AND I WAS LIKE BEBE, BEBE, BEBE OHHHH!!!!" Everyone got caught with the Bieber Fever. Ugh. Even I have it. 2010 was definitely his year. Is 2011 gonna be the Year of the Biebs again? Yes. Basta for Justin Bieber, hailed the 7th Sexiest Woman in the Net(Seriously), he's obviously gonna do it again. :''''>
14. Glee. <3>
15. PBB Teen Clash of 2010. Is it me, or this season kinda rivals the PBB with Melai and Jason? It's kinda shallow of me to include PBB Teen Clash here, but I was obsessed and everyone else was, too.
16. The iPad. O_O. It seems so awkward to use but everyone had to have it. So, will Apple strike again with the latest touch gadget EVEN after the iPad? Of course: In 2012 we will have the iBoard and in 2014 we will have the iMat. The future rocks. B-)
17. I would definitely include the iPhone 3 on this list. Everytime Apple launches a new gen iPhone, people always camp out the Apple stores a day before and iPhone 3 was no exception. Like an iPad, EVERYONE had to have it but your bragging rights once you own it will diminish because of the phone's slew of problems. Hahaha. So peeps who own an iPhone 3, the next time you brag your iPhones to my cellphone-less ass, deep inside you know who's the REAL loser between us. :P And that's you. :>
18. Afriqiyah Airways Flight 771 crash. It was tragic: 103 people on board died but only a nine year old Dutch kid survived. Ruben Van Assouw lost his parents and brother in the crash. Even with his loss, it's no doubt that a miracle did happen to him.
19. Facebook. I have a Facebook. You have a Facebook. Everyone has a Facebook(Well, sort of. My siblings are concocting a plan to bring it down). Facebook: The only place where it isn't considered crazy to talk to a wall. XDD. The annoying thing about Facebook is that almost every game ends with a -ville: Farmville, Petville, PRIESTVILLE?!?! Susmeyo. :|
20. The last on this list would definitely be the rescuing of the Chilean miners. It was heartbreaking when I first heard on the news that it would take FOUR MONTHS for the rescuers to dig up and save the miners. Imagine how happy I was(and the world, too) when they said that miners will be rescued sooner than expected. It was pretty heartwarming seeing the miners being reunited with their families. :D
The Bad...(Seryosohan na to, mga bro. :|)
1. Manila Hostage Taking Crisis held in the Quirino Grandstand. Coincidentally,I first watched the crisis happen on a bus. XD. But this is no laughing matter. Rolando Mendoza took hostage of a tourist bus and the crisis ended in tragedy as 8 tourists were killed. Mendoza was also later killed by a sniper(who is, sadly, not Santiago :|:|:|). But the incident in Quirino didn't just end there. The debate continued on who really has the fault and how the police handled the situation were definitely questioned. Ayyy. How I also remembered the time we were held by CNN as the "Most Dangerous Country to go to". I also remember the bystanders were just so annoying and all during the crisis and all I could do is do a facepalm everytime I remember how they behaved like the time when the crisis ended someone tried going in. XDD And seriously, who would volunteer to be a hostage to a heavily armed man?
2. The BP Oil Spill. Scientist estimate the total amount of oil spilled on the Gulf of Mexico to be 50 MILLION BARRELS(That's a lotta oil, ha. Parang sa mukha kong oily. :)) Joke). Imagine how much damage it caused to the gulf which is also the habitat for a lot of marine life animals. The water in the gulf isn't as blue as Tony Hayward's eyes anymore. :X
3. A lot of natural disasters happened this year and one of the worst was the 7.0 Magnitude Earthquake in Haiti. Hundreds of Thousands died and millions lost of their homes and suffered the aftershocks due to the earthquake. A lot of people around the world gave donations and help to Haiti(Duh, have you heard of "We are the World"?). Taylor Momsen isn't one of them :|:|:|
4. The 8.8 Magnitude earthquake that happened in Chile. Although the casualties were shorter than the Haiti Earthquake, people still suffer until now because of that one heck of a earthquake(8.8 pa naman yun okay). Scientists even say that the Chile Earthquake was sooooo strong that it may have shortened Earth's days by 1.26 microseconds. Maybe such a tiny difference, but it could explain why our days seem to be getting shorter.
5. The Jet Blue Flight Attendant Incident. I was appalled when I learned that Steven Slater became an overnight Folk Hero after he quit his job in the most flamboyant FA fashion possible: he activated the emergency inflatable slide and exited the plane with a beer can in his hand. SERYOSO??!?! People with sense and a brain will definitely scoff at his admirers and see Steven Slater as some douchebag being so unprofessional. I would be pissed if I had him as my FA on Flight 1052. P.S: Until now, Steven Slater doesn't have a job and is still dealing with his case in court. Just cares to show how fame(especially if it just lasted 15 minutes) cannot really save you from unemployment hell in the US and going to jail.
6. The Vizconde Massacre case. Kailan ba magkakaroon ng hustisya sa bansang to? People say Hubert Webb is innocent ever since the proof of him not being in the country during the massacre surfaced. Some say he's guilty and he and the other guys who got arrested just got out because of their backgrounds. Basta ako, kailangan talaga makamit ng hustisya sa case na to whether talagang guilty si Webb or not. Malalmig na naman ang bagong taon para kay Lauro Vizconde habang magiging makulay naman sa tahanan ng mga Webb. Haaaaay.....
7. The Mariel Rodriguez-Robin Padilla ek ek. Are they really in love or is it all lang for media? That million peso ring kinda defies the latter but them being together was downright annoying. The first few seconds were cute then the following just made me sick. They were just everywhere(They even planned to make a reality show together. Really?!?! :-|) and they even dared to lie to their fans(Mariel said something like, "If we were married syempre we want everyone to know diba?" and then a few days later she admitted she and Robin were happily married for a month). I wonder if they're still happily married since there was a blind item that came out that the two have the most OA fights while they were filiming in India....
8. The Guatemala Sinkhole. :O. The first time I saw the pictures months back, I thought it was all Photoshopped but the sinkhole incident is much more real and nightmarish than I thought. Sinkholes are formed when the ground water starts to weaken the bedrock causing it to form the fascinating yet kinda scary sinkhole when a storm comes. I've heard about the number of deaths caused by the sinkhole which isn't really as many as I'd thought but just imagine dying because you were swallowed up by the earth. Creepy.
9. The Election 2010. Haaay, the worst. Brownouts and loss of signal in the internet and telephone were one of the things I had to suffer from. The 2010 Automated Election's main star would probably be that PCOS machine. DEAR LORD. I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW MUCH THE PI SPENT JUST FOR THIS YEAR'S ELECTIONS AND THE MACHINE PALA DIDN'T WORK IN SOME PLACES. SHEEEEESH.
10. You may think this number is an extension of the last one, but some of the people running for president definitely deserve a special mention. Let's see: There's MANNY VILLAR whose jingles are awfully catchy and are simply everywhere yet they never removed the fact about C-6 on the masses' brain. There's JC DE LOS REYES whom I think is the worst of the bunch and the only accomplishment he ever did was marrying a half Brazilian babe. There's JOSEPH ESTRADA who made me laugh until I died whenever I watch him the presidential debates on TV. There's GILBERT TEODORO who I really wished he won. There's RICHARD GORDON who's actually a pretty good competition yet no one really knows because he's the uncle of JC De Los Reyes. Maybe I have some complaints on all the candidates, but at least Ping Lacson didn't run for President.
11. Carine Roitfeld steps down French Vogue. One word: NOOOOO!!!! She is the chicest editor ever and no offense to Anna Wintour, but Carine is just better. WHO WILL REPLACE HER?!?!?! Possible candidate: Emmanuelle Alt, French Vogue's fashion editor. She's pretty stylish herself but no one will ever be like Carine Roitfeld
12. The Maguindanao Massacre. It happened in 2009, but the aftermath just keeps getting worse. Wala nang hustisya sa bansang to. Wala na talaga. But there's still hope. :). I hope one day that the Ampatuan's will get served and realize that even with their power, they can still be taken down.
13. Remember I mentioned earlier about the tragedy in the Winter Olympics? Luge competitor Nodar Kumaritashvili from Georgia died during a training run. His death overshadowed the Olympics by, I don't know--A LOT!!!
14. The Wikileaks controversy. This guy is awesome, period. XDD. How on earth could some Australian dude (Julian Assange) know everything about America's dirty little secrets? So in the eyes of the US law he will be charged with the Espionage Act of 1917 which is totally understandable since Aussies like him absolutely hate Yanks and hate them so much that Assange did what he just did(Nah, kidding). It's too bad I only got to know about Wikileaks when this controversy broke because when I tried visiting the website, IT WASN'T AVAILABLE. (A duh, the US government had to close it down since Assange is under investigation. Sucks naman. :P)
15. Willie Revillame. I've always expressed how he seems like a sleazy guy to work with so it might be a good loss for the female hosts and dancers in Wowowee. Not to ABS-CBN though. They lost MILLIONS AND MILLIONS ever since he left the show. Oh, and there's that case where he's breaching his contract. I have never seen a show go downhill so fast. Wowowee was replaced by Pilipinas Win na Win and not minding its name, the latter already lost ever since it began. Sucks for TV Patrol World, too since Willing Willie has way more ratings than the news show even with ABS-CBN putting Korina Sanchez and Noli De Castro on the show.
16. DAMASO DUDE. He is crazy rude. Period. I have mixed opinions on the RH bill but it's kinda rude of Carlos Celdran to interrupt the mass, holding a sign that bears the word ''Damaso''(a reference to the notorious Friar in Noli Me Tangere). Tuloy people know him na as that crazy guy who barged the mass in Manila Cathedral instead of that funny tour guide from Intramuros.
17. Lindsay Lohan. How I loved her over Hilary Duff before but now she is just getting worse with every report about her on TV(Oh yeah, and Hil just seems to have her life getting better and better especially with the million dollar engagement ring. *drools*). She was sentenced to 90 days behind bars but got out after only 12(UNFAIR). There's this issue pa about her assaulting a Betty Ford staffer. One thing I loved about Lilo this year, though: Her ''Fuck You'' mani. ;D
18. JeJeMon. Hands down, Jejemon should be a part of this list. "Ang Jejemon ay hindi lang way ng pag-text; ito ay lifestyle na rin." Uh okay, Jeje person. My middle finger will always salute to you with your weird way of typing, too-small cap and uber large tees since I'm a true Jejebuster to heart. Copycats that followed: Sheshemon, Tetemon, Bebemon, Bekimon.....the list is endless.
19. PARAMORE IS BREAKING UP. First, I hear the news of the Farro brothers leaving then I suddenly hear that Paramore is breaking up. MAHAL KO SI HAYLEY WILLIAMS!!!!!!! DAPAT DI NAGBREAK ANG PARAMORE!!!!! :'(
20. Icelanic Volcano eruption. This happened back in the summer and how I remember watching people suffereing because of the cancellation of their flights. It must be dreadful to be stranded in the airport. Icelandic Volcano Eyjafjallajökull (AHA! I SPELLED IT RIGHT! :P) erupted on April 14 2010 causing a huge plume of ash and smoke.
No matter how long this entry seems to be, it would never quite capture everything that has happened on 2010. So, before I end this, I want to share some events that happened in the last decade that either shocked me or made me smile. :)
1. The 911 Attacks (2001) --I was in Grade 1 when the World Trade center was crashed down because of terrorist attempts.
2. The Miracle on the Hudson River (2009) --because Captain Sully ROCKS. \m/
3.The case of Natalee Holloway (2005-present) --That Vandeshit guy deserves what he has now: SERVING TIME IN JAIL(But sadly, Natalee's case is still cold as ice)
4.Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston breaking up :O (2005) --the breakup where infidelity much juicier when Angelina Jolie is a part of it
5. Hello Garci scandal (2005-07)--Until now, I still couldn't imagine Gloria being tall enough to pick up the phone and call him. XD
6.The ZTE thingie (2008) --Jun Lozada: Liar or victim?
7.Murder of Lito Glean (2006)--I used to live in Makati and this was very big news in our neighborhood. Lito was the father of one of my childhood friends so I could only imagine what trauma they were going through. What was disturbing was there were posters around Makati bearing a pic of Lito Glean right after he was murdered. Who ever did that, YOU ARE SICK.
8.The Ampatuan Masscare(2009)--I remember when it was first reported on TV and thinking I how I have never ever seen a gruesome thing on TV before and also have never been more disgusted with greedy and power-hungry politicians.
9. AH1N1 epidemic(2009)--I never saw pigs the same way again.
10.Bagyong Ondoy at Pepeng (2009)--Was hell for me as it was for the rest of the country.
11.The first Filipino to climb Mt.Everest (2006)--While some are still debating who was REALLY first, this is still a real milestone for us Pinoys.
12. Efren Penaflorida winning CNN Hero of the Year(2009)--His story inspires me. His attempts in wooing Angel Locsin didn't. XDD
13. The Beijing Olympics(2008)--The last Olympics was one of the best so far. I hope in 2012 it will be just as good--minus the violations on human rights. :)
Maligayang Pasko. :D :D :D
This Christmas.....
I Realized that the song ''Santa Baby'' sounded more like a girl asking stuff from her sugar daddy than Santa and I know many people are like that these days.
I skipped Divi. Whew. Four Christmases in a row
I didn't even bother to put up the Christmas lights on our tree even with the countless nagging I get from my brother to do so. Walang na akong spirit........and sipag. :)) (My brother calls that procrastination. As if naman di kami magkapatid....)
I never attended a single Christmas Party. Well, it's kinda like last year and the year before.
The kids in our place don't sing Christmas songs unlike back in our old place. THEY SHOUT. Some kid here even said "Ano ba!!!!!!! Tigilin nyo nga!" when the kids were ''caroling''. Not me, though
I knew what it was like to do Simbang Gabi--except I only did it once this year and just realized if you DID attend all the masses, you'll have your one wish granted. XDDD Sayang, but only one wish after attending the countless masses? Hmmm...
I got my bro a PRICEY lip balm and is trying to be positive about it. :D BUT I CAAAAAAAN'T!!!!
I still never tasted puto bumbong. :P Bummer.
I Won't be celebrating here at my house. NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
I won't have a complete Christmas again. *sighs*
I AM ABOUT TO EXPERIENCE THE WORST CHRISTMAS EVER!!!!!
BUT IT'S SELFISH OF ME TO THINK THAT....
Everyone says they're SMP (Samahan ng Malalamig ng Pako) but GOD, I'M NOT A FRICKIN RELIGIOUS PERSON TO KNOW THE REAL MEANING OF CHRISTMAS. ANO BA!!!!
Jesus was born on this day and let's pretend the recent study that came out never really came out(You know; that he was really two years old when the Three Kings found him but let's not go there). That is the true meaning. FAMILY should be apart of it, too. Why spend your Christmas trying to make someone kiss you under the mistletoe if your whole family would (possibly...in some situations whether sweet or embarrassing) be ready to kiss you anyway especially when your sad about your pathetic attempts to be taken this Christmas? Di naman Valentine's Day ahh (Ironically, it's X-MAS. Gets? XDDD). Snap out of it, SMP peeps. :P Wag nyo naman gayahin yung nasa iced tea ad. Masaya talaga yun because at least he's earning while saying to the world na SMP sya. Kayo, hindi. Talo kayo. :P Just be happy. Period.
Maybe in some odd way, SMP ako. There's a ton of food here as always so maybe SMP (SAMAHAN NG MARARAMING PAGKAIN) is fitting. :bd. And since someone always has to clean up after eating, maybe SMP (SAMAHAN NG MAGLILINIS NG PLATO) is appropriate, too. :P :))
Whatever, guys. Have a Merry Christmas. :D Here's the Merriest song I could find:
